MISHAWAKA - Beverly J. Hauguel, 79, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011. Beverly was born June 27, 1932, in South Bend, Indiana, to Andrew and Irma (Doka) Kerestury. On June 1, 1957, Beverly married William M. Hauguel in St. Casimir Catholic Church in South Bend. William preceded her in death on March 12, 2009.

Surviving are her children, Melanie Brennan of Mishawaka, Indiana, Kimberly (Larry) Shreve of Mishawaka, Indiana, Brian (Debbie) Hauguel of South Bend, Indiana, Eric (Joni) Hauguel of South Bend, Indiana; six grandchildren, Brook Hauguel, Dalton Bergeron, Nicole Filippone, Courtney Shreve, Madison Hauguel and Jacob Hauguel; sisters, Sandra Johnston of Tacoma, Washington, Dawn Kerestury of South Bend, Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Mary Kerestury of White Cloud, Michigan.

A brother, Richard Kerestury, preceded her in death.

Beverly was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for 40 years.

She graduated from Riley High School in 1951.

She was crowned Miss South Bend in 1953 and did some modeling before she married. Beverly was a devoted wife and mother. She loved to spend time at her lake house, loved to make her jewelry, and enjoyed being with her good friends, Joyce, Clair along with Pat, who preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka, Indiana, where friends may visit from 12 noon until 1 p.m. in the church. Entombment will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Road, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
