Donald J. Claro
Donald Joseph Claro Jan. 22, 1932 - May 7, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Donald "Don" Claro, age 82, unexpectedly passed away on May 7th, 2014. Don was born in South Bend, Indiana, to Joseph Claro and Frances (Magera) Claro.
He graduated from Riley High School in 1950.
He completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University South Bend and post-graduate studies at the University of Notre Dame. Don served in the United States Coast Guard and was assigned to the Great Lakes Region. Don went on to become CEO of Claro Laboratories, Inc. He continued his career as a Certified Financial Planner.
Don was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, True Marcia Claro, and grandson, Vincent Joseph Claro.
Don is survived by son, Keith (Denise Paolillo) Claro; daughter, Lori (Glen Freeman) Claro Freeman; grandson, Luke Freeman ; and granddaughter, Allison Freeman.
A celebration of life will take place at 7:00 pm Friday, May 16, 2014, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 South Kemble Avenue, where friends may gather from 6-8. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
