Monica Teresita Bueno June 30, 1981 - May 31, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Monica Teresita Bueno, 33, was called home by God on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Memorial Hospital. Monica was born June 30, 1981 in South Bend to Claudio and Marta (Macias) Bueno; they survive along with her Life Partner, Rolando Carrillo of South Bend; step daughter, Alexis Carrillo, sons, Rolando "Junebug" Carrillo, Jr., and Royce "Chunks" Victorio Carrillo; grandparents, Guadalupe (Selestina) Bueno; sisters, Angelica "Mija" (Elias Cruz) Bueno-Cruz, Lucinda "Chindy", (Jose) Pedraza and Martina "Tina" (Jesse Pedraza) Bueno; brothers, Claudio "Mijo" Bueno, Jr. and David "Devet" Lee (Cindy) Bueno; nieces and nephews , Romeo, Jose Jr., Reyna, Eliana, Thalia, Eli, Elias II, Leo, and Zoe; and many family members who loved her; and she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carmen Luis and Victoria Macias.
Moni was a graduate of Riley High School and attended Michiana Beauty College.
She was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Matthew. Moni had a strong faith in God and the Virgin of Guadalupe. Monica was very proud of her "Bueno" family. She loved music and dancing the night away at family cookouts. She was very artistic, and enjoyed drawing. Moni was all about "Fashionista", styling hair, and getting her nails done. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Moni loved her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed hanging out with the girls. Moni enjoyed going on walks with her childhood sweetheart and her boys. Most of all, Monica loved being a full time mom; she truly loved her boys.
Visitation for Monica will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 4, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Friday, June 5, 2015 in the Cathedral of St. Matthew. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made towards her sons, Rolando Jr. and Royce Carrillo's Trust at Lake City Bank. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
