Walter Klimishin. 87, of Bolivar, Ohio, formerly of South Bend, Ind., died on Monday, Aug. 21, in Mercy Medical Center, Canton, Ohio, He was born on Dec. 13, 1913, in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late Mary (Krawchuch) and Samuel Peter Klimishin. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann McSwain; and by a brother, Peter Klimishin. He is survived by a sister, Pauline DesLauriers of Indianapolis, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Dolly Klimishin of South Bend; and by three nieces, Marianne McCloughan of Granger, Ind., Patricia Dixson of Knoxville, Tenn., and Karen Fudge of Indianapolis.

In 1937 Mr. Klimishin moved to Canton, where he worked as a salesman for Fuller-O'Brien Paints for 46 years. The last 12 of those years he owned his own paint store in Massillon. Ohio.

He was a 1931 graduate of Riley High School, South Bend and was on its golf team for four years. Mr. Klimishin was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He was an avid golfer and had traveled to Europe, Asia and Africa totaling 27 trips overseas.

Services for Mr. Klimishin will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, in the Mausoleum Chapel at Highland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, is in charge of arrangements. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, P.O. Box 96305. Washington. D.C. 20077-7215.
