Frank Cornelius Burton who resided on South Dundee Street, South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Memorial Hospital.
Frank’s life began on July 4, 1957, in South Bend, Indiana when he was born to Minnie Lee Paige. He graduated from Riley High School in 1975 where he played basketball and football. On November 12, 1977, in South Bend, he and Rachelle Parchman were married. He was employed by Steel Warehouse for 45 years. Frank enjoyed playing pool, listening to music, working in his yard, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was also a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors that will cherish his memory include his wife, Rachelle; daughters: Dennicka Parchman and Tamora Postell, both of South Bend, Indiana; sons: Frank T. (Heather) Burton Jr. of South Bend, Indiana Eric D. (Kennyatta) Burton Sr., of Mishawaka, Indiana, and, Glenn Phillips of South Bend, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Lula Mae Adams, Fronia Murray, and Barbara Bowman, all of Toledo, Ohio; a brother, Marcus Adams of Atlanta, Georgia; along with other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie L. Paige and step-father, George Paige; grandmother, Ma Minnie Burton; aunts: Lillie Mae Hardin, Catherine Malone, Pearl Malone, Lois Freeman, and Cora Ball; uncles: R.C. Alexander, Fred Burton, and Lee Guster Burton; along with many loved and cherished relatives and friends.
