Ruth A. (Oakley) Chapman
Ruth Ann Chapman July 6, 1957 - Nov. 30, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Ruth Ann Chapman, 57, of South Bend, IN passed away at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her home. She was born on July 6, 1957 in South Bend, IN to the late Gene and Rosemary (Laker) Oakley.
On April 22, 1978 in South Bend, IN she was united in marriage to Richard Alan Chapman, who survives. Mrs. Chapman is also survived by her children, Rachelle Ann Chapman of Jacksonville, FL, Rene‚ Alicia Chapman of South Bend, IN, Robyn Adel Chapman of Jacksonville, FL and Reid Alan Chapman of South Bend, IN; two sisters, Sandy Oakley of South Bend, IN and Candence (Larry) Howell of Mishawaka, IN; brother, Lance (Sue) Oakley of Mishawaka, IN and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Chapman was a lifelong resident. She was a 1975 graduate of Riley High School and attended IUSB. She worked for the South Bend Community School Corporation as a Para Professional for over eighteen years. She attended Living Stones Community Church in South Bend.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Living Stones Church, 718 Donmoyer Avenue, South Bend, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN.
