Kathleen Godwin-Bean May 28, 1957 - May 30, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Kathleen Godwin-Bean, 58, departed from this life on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at her East Bissell Street home. Kathleen's life began in South Bend, Indiana, on May 28, 1957, when she was born to John Wesley and Helen (Smith) Godwin.
She was a Riley High School graduate and was employed by Mastics as a factory laborer for ten years.
Kathleen's hobbies were telling jokes, riding her bike, cooking and barbequing, driving fast cars, shoes, playing cards and music, especially the blues. Also, she was a former member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Loved ones who survive include a daughter, Jessica Bean; a son, Corey Lee Bean; six sisters, Joyce Harris, Linda (Bobby) Lewis, Mary Godwin, Lisa (Terry) Jones, Angie (Keith) Gordon and Lesley Godwin; one brother, Wesley (Shirley) Godwin, all of South Bend, Indiana; along with a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Helen Godwin, and by a sister, Vernell Jean Snowden.
