She is also survived by her nephews: Lucas, Oliver, Gabriel, and Benjamin Morse whom she adored. She is survived by her niece Jill (Chris) Bell along with great niece Chelsea whom she loved to spoil. Diane was predeceased by her niece Dr. Jamie (Chris Takace) Kazmierzak but loved and enjoyed her great nephew Cole Takace and great niece Zoey Takace. She loved to spoil DJ’s two children Kaileen and Keagen. Also left to cherish her memory are Elana and Elisa Vanett, whom she considered her adopted daughters. She was a huge influence in their lives and was so proud of the beautiful women they have become today.

Diane graduated from Riley High School and spent most of her life in South Bend, Indiana. Diane was a long-time employee of Huttig Building Products and will be missed by her coworkers and customers.

Diane was incredibly selfless. She will forever be remembered for her never fading positive attitude, even in the most trying times. Her family will miss her dearly as she was always present for every holiday and important event, bringing with her the most delicious home-made treats and getting up early to go Black Friday shopping. No one had the ability to locate the perfect gift for each person in her life like Diane. Her family and friends will cherish the thoughtful cards and presents she bestowed upon them. Her kind, generous, gentle, and devoted nature will be missed beyond measure by her family and everyone who knew her.

Per Diane’s wishes, there will be no visitation. The family is planning a celebration of life in the near future. Diane deeply loved and cared about animals. Although she was an avid supporter of Resale to the Rescue and Meow Mission, donations in her memory can be made to any animal charity.

The date and time of the celebration of life will be updated on the Kaniewski Funeral Home website. www.kaniewski.com
