William I. Drelbelbis

William I. Dreibelbis, 71, of 125 W Manon, died at 9:46 a.m. Friday it St. Joseph's Medical Center follow. ing an apparent heart attack. He was a retired letter carrier. Born June 15, 1911, near Lakeville, he lived here his lifetime. On April 21, 1943, in South Bend, he marred Irma Ilagye who died in 1975.

On Nov. 23, 1977, he married Gail Perkins, who survives with two daughters, Roseann Singleton of LaPaz and Monica Eblin of South Bend; a son, William H. of South Bend; two step-sons, Nicolas M. Carlo and Don Perkins, both of South Bend; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Estella Weaver of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew's Cathedral with Bishop Joseph R. Crowley, rector, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel, where a rosary is scheduled at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

William was a graduate of Riley High School. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge, National Association of Letter Carriers, South Bend Retired Association of Letter Carriers, Holy Name Society of the church, veteran of U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean conflict and was past vice commander of Post 50, Amencan Legion.
