James Palmer

Mr. Palmer was a former stockholder and employee of the Reliable Dairy 40 years and had been a real estate salesman two years for the House of Realty. He was born on Oct 14, 1913 in South Bend, and had lived in South Bend all of his life.

On May 1, 1948, he married Colleen Moulden, who survives, along with three sons, Duane and Michael, both of Elkhart, and Bruce of South Bend; three daughters, Mrs. Sherry Masser of Los Angeles, Mrs. Linda Perry and Mrs. Jillann Hanyzewski, both of South Bend; 10 grandchildren, and two brothers, Robert J. of South Bend, and George Jr. of Naples, Fla. 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Grace United Methodist Church, of which Mr. Palmer was a member, Rev. Forest Howell, pastor,. and Rev. Lyle Loomis, assistant pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Mr. Palmer was a veteran of World War II and a member of. the Board of Realtors. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
