John S. "Whitey" Kuharich

SOUTH BEND — John S. "Whitey" Kuharich, 78, of South Taylor Street, died about 4 p.m. Thursday in his home of natural causes. Mr. Kuharich retired from Bendix Corp. He was born Dec. 27, 1914, in South Bend.

Surviving are a sister, Terri Weathers of Gainesville, Fla.; and a brother, Anthony S. of Springfield, Ill.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and Bowler's Country Club.

ervices will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sun in Zahoran Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 630 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
