Frances M. (Mahoney) Bloom

Frances M. Bloom, 86, of Berkley Circle, Mishawaka, passed away on December 15 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Frances was born on July 15, 1915, in New Carlisle as the daughter of the late Lee and Mable (Blanch) Mahoney.

Her husband, John J. Bloom, Sr., who recently passed away on November 26, 2001, also precedes her in death, along with one brother, Wayne Mahoney and one sister, Pauline Myers. Frances is survived by her sons, John (Patricia) Bloom, Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., and Thomas (Patricia) Bloom of South Bend; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild also survive her. A lifetime resident, Frances was a member of The Cathedral of St. Matthew and the Rosary Society.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. in The Cathedral of St. Matthew. Bishop Daniel R. Jenky, C.S.C. will be officiating. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
