Robert B. Mow Sr., 91, of East Jefferson Road, Mishawaka, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, in his residence. Robert was born on March 14, 1914, in Hamilton, Ontario, to Omer F. and Elizabeth (Bogges) Mow, who preceded him in death.

On June 21, 1940, he married Marguerite Hirsch in Mishawaka. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth (Ronald) Miller of Mishawaka; a son, Robert B. (JoAnn) Mow Jr. of Granger; a stepsister, Betty Bowerman of Lexington, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Joseph (Stacey) Jurkaites of Mishawaka, Kimberly Kollar of Granger, Donald (Gina) Mow of Osceola, Michael Miller of Mishawaka, Barbara Miller of South Bend, Martin Miller of Osceola and Patricia (Mark) Kozor of Michigan City; and also nine great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Kathleen Mow and Dorothy Pearson, preceded him in death.

Robert retired from the Indiana and Michigan Electric Power Company in 1978 after 39 years of service. Robert was a 50-year member of the Albright United Methodist Church of Mishawaka, an officer of the Wally Byam Air Stream Travel Club, Masonic Lodge, Dade City, Florida, and South Bend. Robert sang in the Barber Shop Quartet, church choir, and played violin in the Traveliers Dance Orchestra at Travelers Rest Resort, Dade City, Fla. In his youth Robert participated in Riley football, Bengal Bouts Boxing, the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, and the Country Riders Motorcycle Club.

Memorial services will be held at Bubb Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 2, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Dennis Ingle and Pastor Warren Kirkwood officiating. Visitation before services will be at 9:30 a.m.
