MISHAWAKA — Thelma M. Taylor, 79, of 211 Monmoor Avenue, was found dead in her home about 10 p.m. Sunday of natural causes. Mrs. Taylor was born Oct. 27, 1913, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Jan. 9, 1933, in South Bend, as Thelma Mae Queer, she married William W. "Buck" Taylor. He died in 1975. She is survived by five daughters, Thelma L. Baker and Mary Overton, both of South Bend, Darlene Richards of Florence, Ala., Sarah Taylor of Logansport, Ind., and Nancy Cranmer of Mishawaka; five sons, Roger, David, and William, all of Mishawaka, Chuck of Granger, and Jesse of Edwardsburg; 29 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Harter of Mishawaka.

A daughter, Ruth Burgan, died in 1985.

She was a member of Rebekkah and Naomi Lodge 67, Elkhart, Mothers of World War II, Daughters of American Revolution, Pythian Sisters of South Bend, Santia Lodge, South Bend, Royal Embroidery Club, Elkhart, and Patriarch Militants of Indiana.
