Ruth V. (Maurice) Murphy
Mrs. Ruth V. Murphy, 67, of 6332 Miami Road, died at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jul. 24, 1982, at the family's cottage at Gravel Lake, Mich., of an apparent heart attack. She was a housewife. She was born on May 6, 1915, in South Bend and lived here all her life.
On Dec. 2. 1939, in South Bend she married Dale A. Murphy Sr., who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Wayne and Dale Jr., both of South Bend; six grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Lucille) King of Indianapolis, Mrs. Ralph (Beatrice) Nifong of Middle-bury and Mrs. Norman (Annabelle) Witte of Three Rivers.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Rev. Ellwood K. Smith, pastor of the Lakeville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday in the funeral home.
