Services for Paul Pearson, 70, of Melbourne, Fla., formerly of South Bend, who died at 12:50 a.m. Monday, Aug 3, 1987, at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour before services in the chapel. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St., is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Pearson was the owner of the former City Lumber and Supply Co.

He was born Feb. 28, 1917, in South Bend, and lived in South Bend most of his life, moving to Florida in 1985. His first wife, Dorothy Pearson, died Sept. 18, 1984. His second wife, Irene Pearson of Melbourne, survives. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas of Lafayette, Ind., and Kenneth of Corona, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Carl of Jacksonville, Fla., and William of Indialantic, Fla.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 675 F & AM, a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the South Bend Consistory and Rotary International.
