Stephen M. Dubois, 58. of 513 S. 24th, died at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 10, 1978, in Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months. Dubois was chief radio dispatcher with the South Bend City Waterworks. He was bom Sept. 13, 1919, in Rochester and had lived in South Bend most of his life.

On Nov. 24, 1945, in Mishawaka he married Mary Jane Evon, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Ms. Suzanne, a student at the University of Connecticut, Mrs. Jeanne Wilcox of Marshall, Tex., and Miss Anne of South Bend; three sons, James of Bloomington, and Kenneth and David of South Bend; three sisters, Mrs. Patricia Vail of Somerset, N.J., Mrs. Ruth Browman of Nebraska and Mrs. Betty Dominick of Hollywood, Fla.

Dubois served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 303.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson, with Rev. Robert A. Yast, pastor of St. Anthony Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
