Marina Louise Winebrenner, 80, of Offshore Drive died at 8:34 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Winebrenner retired as a school teacher for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. and was a home-bound tutor. She received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University and was a member of American Association of University Women and Retired Teachers Association.

She was also a member of the Bartholomew County Senior Center where she was the chairwoman of the bridge club and coordinator of the senior action team.

She was a 37-year member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a member of Columbus Regional Hospital Auxiliary since 1985 where she worked in family and patient support services. She also was a former Muscatatuck State Hospital board member where she received the Little Doe state award in 1987.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Harmon Chizmar officiating. Calling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed & Jewell Chapel, on 25th Street and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Winebrenner was born in Detroit June 11, 1920, the daughter of Cassius L. and Marina Moon Hudson. She married Jack J. Winebrenner July 19, 1947, in South Bend. He died May 31, 1980.

Survivors include daughters, Beth Ann Winebrenner of West Lafayette and Barbara W. Raymond of Fort Myers, Fla.; a son, John Robert Winebrenner of Columbus; grandchildren, Bretton Michael and Jacqueline Marie Raymond, both of Fort Myers; brothers, Lincoln Hudson of Minnetonka, Minn., and Robert C. Hudson of Naples, Fla.; and a sister, Margaret Elizabeth Hanson of South Bend.
