Anne M. (Pilsitz) Beery

SOUTH BEND - Anne M. Beery, 87, passed away on Friday, Feb. 2, in her home with family by her side. Anne was born on December 10, 1919, in Steelton, PA, to the late Michael and Mary (Egersitz) Pilsitz.

On July 21, 1944, she married her loving husband of 62 years, Rhoderick J. Beery in Tucson, AZ, who preceded her in death on January 13, 2005. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Kay and Julia; and by a brother, Michael.

She is survived by her children, Lynn A. Morris of South Bend, Rhoderick J. Beery Jr. of St. Louis, MO, and Jacquelyn (Jeffrey) Ahrns of Fairport, NY; seven grandchildren, Harry, Steven, Matthew, Rhoderick, Sara, Bethann, and Jenille; seven great-grandchildren, "Jack", Hudson, Amanda, Alanna, Adam, Kory and Kody; three sisters, Mary Ann Balmer of South Bend, Helen Finlay of Niles and Rosie Smith of Woodbury, NJ.

Friends and family may call from 9 to 10 a.m. today in St. Matthew Cathedral, 1701 Miami St., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated today, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
