Laverne A. (Paege) O'Connell-Fodor
June 18, 1920 - Oct. 17, 1999

LaVerne A. Fodor , 79, residing on South 28th Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, in Healthwin Hospital, South Bend.

Mrs. Fodor was born on June 18, 1920, in South Bend, to the late Harry and Clara Eichorst Paege, and had lived in this community all of her life. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Eichorst.

She was an employee of the former H.D. Lee's, and retired in1985 from the microfilming department of the Bendix Corporation following 15 years of service.

On May 30, 1947, in South Bend, as LaVerne Paege, she married DeLoise Clinton O'Connell, who passed away on March 10, 1952. Then, on April 2, 1955, she married Louis Fodor , who also preceded her in death on June 27, 1964.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Michael J. O'Connell of Granger, Ind., and Dr. Craig O'Connell of Cheshire, Conn.; six grandchildren, Erin, Megan, Molly, Kallie, Kelly and Caitlin O'Connell; a sister, Carolyn Spradlin of South Bend; and by four brothers, Harry Paege and Joseph Paege, both of South Bend, John Paege of Osceola, Ind., and Lawrence Paege of Temple Terrace, Fla.

Services for Mrs. Fodor will be at 10 a.m. today, Oct. 20, in St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, 320 East Fourth Street, Mishawaka. Rev. Dale Speckman will officiate. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.

Friends called from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, and may also call one hour prior to services today in the church.
