SOUTH BEND — Harold J. Gervais, 71, of Camdenton, Mo., and Mission, Texas, formerly of South Bend, died Thursday in Park Forest, Ill. Mr. Gervais was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Calumet, Mich.

On June 28, 1947, in Chicago, he married Marceil Beach. She survives with three daughters, Cheryl A. Huson of St. Louis, Patrice Marie Calvi of Richton, III., and Lori M. Barone of Darien, Ill.; six sons, Craig H. of Matteson, M., Lt. Col. Bradley of St. John, Ind., Dale G. of Flossmoor, Ill., Dean R. of Park Forest, Gerald of Flower Mound, Texas, and Keith E. of Richton; 18 grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor G. Tengelitsch and Virginia E. Waggoner, both of South Bend; and two brothers, Raymond A. of Mishawaka and Earl G. of Naperville, Ill.

He was a veteran of World War II. 

Services were Saturday in St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Park Forest. Burial was in Willow Hills (Ill.) Cemetery. Lain-Sullivan Fu-neral Home, Park Forest, handled arrangements.
