Richard E. Dorn

CARMEL, IN - Richard E Dorn of Carmel, IN, passed on to glory with Jesus on October 3rd, 2016.

He was born in South Bend, IN, and lived most of his adult life in Milwaukee, WI, and Lansing, IL.

He was a graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School in June 1941. He served as Sergeant in the Marine Corps in World War II in the South Pacific as a radio and radar operator and aerial gunner. He worked at US Steel and Sargent & Lundy as a structural engineer and estimator.

Mary S. Dorn, his wife of 53 years, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his son, Allan, daughter-in-law, Barbara, and grandson, Ryan.

Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Albertsons Mortuary, Indianapolis, IN.
