David A. Geraghty, 61, of South Bend, passed away early Monday morning, May 4, 2020 at his residence.

David was born to the late John and Margaret (Johnston) Geraghty on March 12, 1959 in South Bend.

He graduated from Riley High School.

On March 16, 1985 in South Bend, he married Ruth M. O’Brien; she survives.

For the last forty-five years, David worked at Stantz Food Service in the transportation department.  He loved watching Notre Dame football and playing with his grandkids.

Surviving is his wife, Ruth M. Geraghty; son, Ryan (Laura) Geraghty of Fort Wayne, and their children, Caleb, Adam, Melanie and Summer Geraghty; daughter, Kathryn (Kyle) Moser of South Bend, and their children, Samuel and Edward Moser; son, Shawn Geraghty of South Bend.  Also surviving are his four siblings, Susan (Tom) Frisz of South Bend, Meg (David) Elkins of Bloomington, Kevin (Christine) Geraghty of Arlington Heights, Chicago, and Steve (Connie) Geraghty.

David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Geraghty.

Visitation will be from 4-7PM Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend.

Funeral services will be private on Thursday.
