Sandra Kaye (Lybarger) Creech

SOUTH BEND - Sandra Kaye Lybarger Creech, 51, residing in South Bend, IN, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 26, 2011, in South Bend.

She was born February 6, 1960, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, a daughter of George Calen & Sharon Lee (Prange) Lybarger, while her father was serving in the military. She had lived in South Bend since June 1961. On Valentine's Day, 1985, in South Bend, Sandy was united in marriage to Ralph E. Creech.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ralph of 26 years. Also surviving are two daughters, Sarah Ann (Tim) Singleton and Stephanie Paige Creech, both of South Bend; three grandchildren, Madison and Jackson Singleton, and Carson Creech. Also surviving are her parents, George & Sharon Lybarger of South Bend; her sister, Susan Ann (Chris) Stoler of Niles, MI; and her brother, Mark Allen Lybarger of Walkerton, IN.

Sandy worked in finance at Capital Solutions in St. Joseph, Michigan. She was a 1978 graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School. She enjoyed riding on country roads or along the by-pass construction sites searching for pretty rocks and using them for landscaping around her home. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Services celebrating the life of Sandy Creech will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Craig Clapper, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy on behalf of Sandy may be offered to a Trust Fund for her grandchildren at any Community Wide Federal Credit Union, c/o Sarah Singleton or Pet Refuge, 2300 West 6th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
