John Howard Weiss
John H. Weiss Services for John II. Weiss, 67, of Speedway, Ind., formerly of South Bend, who died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Veterans Administration Hospital, Indianapolis, will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Methodist Hospital Cancer Center, Indianapolis.
Mr. Weiss was a national service officer for Disabled American Veterans, Indianapolis, for 35 years. He was born March 12, 1921, in South Bend and had lived in Indianapolis for 43 years.
In 1945, in South Bend, he married the former Betty Jackson, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Lanning of Indianapolis and Laura Zeman of Battleground, Ind.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Baldwin of South Bend and Mary Walker of Mesa, Ariz.; and two brothers, Leonard of Mishawaka and Hal of Indianapolis.
