Robin Marie Yates
February 2, 1963 – March 17, 2021
South Bend Robin Marie Yates, 58, a lifelong resident of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2021. She was born in South Bend, Indiana on February 2, 1963 to Donald W. and Teresa A. (Nyikos) Yates, who preceded her in death.
Robin graduated from James W. Riley in 1981 and Vogue Beauty School in 1982. Robin was a stylist and nail technician at Creative Hair Studios since 2004. From hair to nails and beyond, an artist by nature, her passion was painting. Robin’s creative talents were endless, and her giving heart was her strongest virtue. Robin was always thinking of ways to spread happiness to others. She loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children, and their children became her grandchildren. Her kind heart extended to her beloved dogs, Squirt and Max, and the many other pets she loved throughout her life.
Robin is survived by her loving partner of 18 years, Lemuel J. Mann of South Bend, his children Chris, Shawn, Justin, Jonathon, Shelby, and Allie. Robin will also be missed by Jerry’s large extended family in Alabama. She is also survived by her seven siblings, David (Laura Addison) Yates, Mishawaka, Indiana, Rick (Susan) Yates, Powder Springs, GA, Carol (Tom) Mabry, Colorado Springs, CO, Patrick (Denice) Yates, Buchanan, MI, Jeff Yates, Greenbrae, CA, Donald (Debi) Yates, Sevierville, TN, and Michael (Camarra ) Yates, Geneva, IN, twelve nieces and nephews, seven grandnieces and grandnephews, her aunts Joann Nyikos, Julie Nyikos, Nancy Yates, as well as many dear cousins, family members and lifelong friends.
A memorial service will be held in the future. Details are pending. Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
