SOUTH BEND - William A. Carothers Jr. , 46, of South Bend, Indiana departed in Christ on 7:20 a.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana after a short period of illness. He was born January 14, 1965 in South Bend, Indiana to William A. Carothers Sr. and Nancy Carothers.

He graduated in 1983 from James Whitcomb Riley High School.

He worked at Sibley Machine and Foundry Corp. for many years. William really loved, with a sincere heart, his children.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Nancy Carothers; 2 daughters, Paris Carothers of South Bend, Indiana and Diamond Carothers of St. Louis, Missouri; 2 sons, William A. Carothers III and DeVaughn Carothers, both of South Bend, Indiana. He became a special grandfather one day before his death, to grandson, Jayron Carothers. Also surviving is a dear sister, Kelli Carothers; in his heart, her smile and calmness of concern for him will never be forgotten. He has a sister, Angel Carothers; a brother, Jarrod Carothers of Indianapolis, Indiana. He always had a love & concern for them. Precious uncles, aunts and cousins will never be forgotten, who showed love, concern and kindness toward him until the very end. An uncle in Marion, Indiana VA hospital was so dear to him. His nieces and nephews will always have that special love for him; he shared his time with them.

Special friends showed love, concern and kindness until the very end (Sandy Williamson). William loved children and people. No one was a stranger to him. He is preceded in death by his father, William A. Carothers Sr.; an aunt, Rose Wilson; grandparents, Ashley Carothers, Edna Carothers, Jake Claybrooke and Christine Claybrooke.

Services for William A. Carothers Jr. will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 in Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc., 2702 Lincoln Way West. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon and then services at 12:30 p.m. Visit www.clark oneal.com to sign his guest book. Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.
