SOUTH BEND - Lois Jean (Thompson) Stech-Weil, 75, passed away Thursday, April 3, in Milpitas, CA, after a long hard battle with cancer and chemotherapy. She was born in South Bend to Frank (Jackson, MI) and Alice (Baker) (Chicago, IL) Thompson and was a graduate of Riley High School class of 1950.

She is survived by her two sons, David Stech of Alamogordo, NM and Paul Stech of Shrewsbury, MA; two granddaughters, Andreanna and Alexandra Stech of Shrewsbury; her husband, Bradner Weil of California; and her brother, Frank Thompson of Washington. Her mother and father; her brother, Curt Thompson; and first husband, Roland E.

Stech preceded her in death. Lois returned to South Bend in 1997, after the death of her first husband in 1995, until 2003 when she remarried and moved back to California.

Services will be held in California today, Saturday April 12, at 3:30. Memorial services will be held at a date to be announced in South Bend and her remains will be interned at Southlawn Cemetery. Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary, Fremont, CA, is handling arrangements.
