Richard Edward Wainscott-Williams

Richard E. Wainscott-Williams, 65, of Oak Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, March 15, in his residence.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1938, in South Bend, to Marquise Copland Wainscott Sr. and Clara Elsie (DeLorme) Wainscott, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Marquis Copland Wainscott Jr. and George Wainscott; and by a sister, Annabelle Hughes.
In 1977, in Mishawaka, Ind., Richard married Karen S. Weaver. Surviving Richard is his wife, Karen; sons, Richard Todd Spencer of Indianapolis, Ind., and Virgil (Jenn) Woofter of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandson, Eric Woofter of Jacksonville; sisters, Ramona (Charles) Willis of South Bend and Betty Lou White of Middlebury, Ind.; brothers, Wayne Wainscott of South Bend, Lonnie Lee Wainscott of South Bend and Vern Wainscott of Auburn, Ind.
Richard worked for United Airlines for 23 years and Northwest Airlines for 18 years. He retired in 2003 where he was in airline customer service. He was a member of Calvary Temple, VFW Post 9820 and Bowlers Country Club.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road.
