Kelly E. Brown

April 23, 1977- May 15, 2001

Kelly E. Brown, of Roosevelt Road, South Bend, Ind. was untimely taken from those who deeply loved her, in an automobile accident on Friday, May 15, 2001. Kelly was born on April 23, 1977, in Indianapolis, Ind., to the late Mark S.

Brown and Dr. Sandra R. Stackhouse. Kelly moved to South Bend in 1 981 . She graduated from Riley High School in 1996 where she was a varsity member of the girls swim team.

She was currently enrolled at Ivy Tech State College and employed by Memorial Home Care as a supervisor of parking services. Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Mark S. Brown (1988); her maternal grandmother, Betty Ratcliff (2000) and her paternal grandfather, Calvin Brown.

Kelly is survived by her mother, Dr. Sandra R. (Brown) Stackhouse; brother, Ryan E. Brown; step-father, Dr. Adrain D. Stackhouse; step-sister, Shannon F. Stackhouse and step-brother, Adrian D. Stackhouse, all of South Bend; grandmothers, Charlotte Brown of North Judson, Ind., and Irene O. (Stackhouse) Singleton of South Bend; aunts, Cheryl L. (Ken) Crumpler of Zebulon, N.C., and Brenda (Phil) Lloyd of South Bend; uncles, Craig (Debbie) Brown of Mishawaka, Ind., and Kevin (Mary) Brown of North Judson; cousins, Melissa, Megan and Michelle Brown of North Judson, Amanda Brown of Mishawaka, Adam and Andrew Crumpler of Zebulon, N.C., and Terri, Phillip Sr. and Nicholas Lloyd of South Bend, a nephew Caleb S. Stackhouse, South Bend.

Kelly was engaged to be married to Daniel Pletcher of South Bend.

Kelly was a loving person who showed her compassion to all. Our loss is deep but we hold strong to the belief that she now rests in the loving arms of God.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, in St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 53720 N. Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN, 46635, with Rev. Randy Melton-Parton officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday May 28, 2001 in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Boulevard 219 289-1000 and one half hour before services in the church. Memorial in lieu of flowers to St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
