Betty A. (Coleman) Baxter

MISHAWAKA - Betty A. Baxter, 57, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Betty was born on Feb. 28, 1957, in Omaha, NE, to the late Albert Benjamin and Geraldine Deloris (Sweet) Coleman.
On May 20, 1972, Betty married Dick Baxter in South Bend, IN. Betty and Dick were married for 42 years. Betty is survived by her husband Dick and their 3 children, Katrina (Richard) Inman of Winslow, IN, Rosemary Baxter and Ted Baxter, both of Mishawaka, IN. Betty was a loving and caring grandmother to 7 grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by 3 sisters and a brother.
Betty was previously employed as a Kitchen Assistant at the Sanctuary at St. Paul's for 22 years. Betty's hobbies were crocheting, making lace outfits for teddy bear stuffed animals, and she tried her hand at knitting but became frustrated with it. Betty's major enjoyment was spending time with her family most of all.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 16, 2014, with one hour visitation prior at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN.
