Kingsley Becker

April 21, 1947 - Oct. 27, 2016

SOUTH BEND - Kingsley “King” James Becker passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016. King was born on April 21, 1947, to John and Imogene (McIndoe) Becker, who preceded him in death. King graduated from Riley High School in 1965 and Valparaiso Tech with an Associate Degree in Engineering Electronics, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering at Indiana University South Bend. He had a very successful career, spending most of it at Miles Laboratories/Bayer.

King loved to bowl and spend time with his second family in his bowling leagues. He bowled a perfect 300 many times. He enjoyed watching the White Soxs, Cubs and NASCAR. He also loved working on cars and owned many, including his beloved 1965 Corvette Stingray. His love for his family, and his passion for photography, has provided his loved ones with many precious memories and photos that will be cherished always.

He is survived by his sisters, Myra (Sam) Hensley and Marcia Mahoney; nephews, Sean (Carolyn) Evans, Brian (Melissa) Mahoney, Brad Mahoney, Brent Mahoney; and nieces, Andrea (Jamie) Brown and Aubrey (Ryan) Sousley; along with 14 great-nieces and nephews, who all adored him; and his beloved cousin, Scott (Jackie) Gentry.

King was an incredibly intelligent and kind man. He was “King” to his family and always lived up to his name. He was the person to call when we needed anything, because he knew how to do everything. He will be greatly missed by those who were lucky enough to know him.

A private family funeral will be held. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, is assisting the family. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
