SOUTH BEND - Lee Agnes Coleman, 71, of South Bend, Indiana transitioned to eternal life on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Memorial Hospital. She was born October 15, 1946 to the union of NC Coleman Sr. and Rosie Mae (Powell) Coleman, in Thornton, Mississippi.

Lee Agnes made Jesus her choice at a very early age. Lee received her formal education by way of the Thornton, Mississippi School system. At an early age her family moved to South Bend, Indiana where she continued her education through the South Bend Community School Corporation, graduating in 1965 from James Whitcomb Riley High School.

She is survived by five brothers: NC Coleman Jr. of South Bend, Indiana, Eric Alex James (Robin) Redmon of Flint, Michigan, Cedric Coleman of Memphis, Tennessee, Eddie Archer of Detroit, Michigan, and Freddie Archer of Mississippi; three sisters, Bettie L. Redmon of South Bend, Mattie Orr and Keshia Coleman, both of Memphis, Tennessee; a goddaughter, Cary Williams of South Bend; a special sister, Christine Chaney; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.

Lee was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Mae Redmon; stepfather, Alex Redmon; father, NC Coleman Sr.; a sister, Dorothy Price; a brother, Sylvester Redmon; and grandparents, David L. Sr. and Mary Bell Simmons, along with other relatives.

A Home-Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10 am with a viewing one-hour prior at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
