LAKEVILLE - Judith “Judi” L. Markley, 69 years old, passed away at 4:58 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Indiana University Health Goshen Hospital. Judi was born on May 25, 1947, in South Bend, to the late Daniel B. and Thelma L. (Mumford) Hartman. She had lived most of her life in Lakeville. On December 6, 1974, in South Bend, she married Kenneth “Kenny” G. Markley.
Along with her loving husband, Kenny, survivors include one daughter, Sherri (Derek) Greene of Shelby, NC; son, Chris (Michele) Markley of West Lafayette, IN; eight grandchildren, Caroline, Anne Marie, Hannah, Nathanael, Seth, Anna, Emily and Luke; and one brother, Robert D. (Nancy Marie) Hartman of Mishawaka. One sister, Rose Cheri Hartman, preceded her in death on June 14, 1950.
Judi worked for the former Central State Bank in Lakeville, and for Polygon in Walkerton in the accounts payable department. She has been a longtime and faithful member of the Cornerstone Community Fellowship Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016, at the Cornerstone Community Fellowship Church, 1375 Maple Road, Plymouth, IN. Pastor Steve Cox will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan Street, Lakeville, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
