SARASOTA, FL - Robert “Bob” A. Beck, 71, passed away at 12:35pm on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Heartland North in Sarasota, Florida. Bob was born on September 9, 1945 in Johnstown, PA, to the late John Beck, who passed away in 1948, and Elizabeth Beck-Molnar.
Bob moved to South Bend, IN, in 1954. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Joe Molnar. He is survived by sister, Sandy (Al) Podelwitz-Carmon and niece, Debbie Podelwitz, both of South Bend.
Bob graduated from Riley High School in 1965. He was employed as a Marina Technician at Culver Military Academy, before moving to Sarasota in 2001. In Sarasota, he worked at MarineMax and O'Leary's. Bob loved the water and sailing was his hobby.
Graveside services and inurnment will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Southlawn Cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Connie Marie Vlahantonis (Cutner) (1965)
Just saw this. Bob had an eyes problem in grade school. I played volleyball against his sister Sandy. Very nice girl. I saw Bob at Riley 1965 20th reunion. Was so happy to see him. He looked good and seemed happy.
