Barbara Lynne (Johnson) Kimberling

November 6, 1946-June 17, 2005

Barbara, 58, of Beaverton, went to be with the Lord after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born in South Bend, Ind., to Dale and the late Opal Johnson.

She graduated from Riley High School in 1965. In 1972, she married her first husband, the late Thomas Haun, in Riverside, Calif. They moved to the Portland area shortly thereafter, in 1975. Barb was an active "sports mom" to her son, Troy Haun. She has been a devoted wife for over 10 years to Paul Kimberling.

Barb enjoyed fellowship at Beaverton Christian Church and has been involved in many women's organizations and charities. She was an AFLAC Insurance agent, financial consultant, as well as a Mary Kay distributor for over 24 years. She took great pride and joy in her family, especially her five grandchildren, Garrett, Lauren, Alexandra, Nikki, and Tyler. Barbara, affectionately known as Barbie, was known for her love and acceptance of others and developed an incredible circle of friends and loved ones. Her life was a great gift to the world and those she loved.

In addition to her grandchildren, she is survived by her husband, Paul Kimberling of Beaverton; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Tamara Haun of Riverside, Calif.; step-children, John and DeeDee Kimberling of Vancouver; her father and step-mother, Dale and Shari Johnson of South Bend, Ind.; two sisters and two brothers, Beverly Garcia of Corona, Calif.; Bonnie Larsen of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Jim Johnson of Osceola, Ind.; and David Johnson of South Bend, Ind.; many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 26 in Beaverton Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Barbara Kimberling to the American Cancer Society at 0330 S.W. Curry St., Portland, OR 97239; 503-295-6422.
