Donald Lewis Weinstein Feb. 11, 1950 - Jan. 31, 2017 SOUTH BEND - Donald Lewis Weinstein, age 66, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away January 31, 2017. He was born in South Bend, Indiana to parents George and Dorothy Weinstein,and survived by his wife Marleen, brother David, and sister Marsha. He attended Indiana University and Purdue University in Veterinary Sciences, working with Dr. Brester as a large-animal veterinary assistant. As a small businessman, he ran Acme Air Filter Service of St.Petersburg, Fl for more than 25 years, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed flying, was an avid pilot, and owned a number of airplanes over the years. Along with a life-long gift with animals and children, his pastimes included golf, his birds, a talent with pottery, and a devotion to his wife, Marleen.
