Joan Eloise (Connell) Harris

EVANSVILLE, Ind. Joan Harris, 69, of White Plains, Ky., and formerly of South Bend, Ind., died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Hospital in Evansville. She was born Sept. 5, 1934, in South Bend, to the late Robert and Mary Connell. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Concord Missionary Baptist Church, Nortonville chapter of Eastern Star and was a Kentucky Colonel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Harris, on Sept. 20, 1994.

She is survived by two sons, Deron Harris of Bremen, Ky., and Chris Harris of White Plains; two daughters, Cindy Lynn Moore and Cathy Jo Renfrow, both of White Plains; two brothers, George Connell of Indianapolis, Ind., and Norman Keith of Niles, Mich.; two sisters, Gwendolyn Blair of Madisonville and Mary Jean Brenneman of Marion, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Concord Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ellis Payne and Bro. Leroy Reardon officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Mausoleum in Madisonville. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville, Ky., and from 9:30 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
