Robert Axelberg, age 76 of Dacula, GA died suddenly Thursday, November 13, 2003. A Funeral Service was held Sunday, November 16, 2003 at 3:00 P.M. at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Mac Palmer officiated. The family received friends, Sunday, November 16, 2003 from 1:00 P.M. until time of service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to Boy Scouts of America or to the American Heart Association.

Mr. Axelberg was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Axelberg. Surviving are wife, Alma Jean Axelberg, Dacula; Son and Daughter In-law, Robert K. And Terri S. Axelberg, Jr., Fishers, IN; Son, Daniel S. Axelberg, Lake Worth, FL; Daughter and Son In-law, Jane Ann and Bob Myers, Dacula; Grandchildren, Brooke R. Axelberg, Travis K. Axelberg, Danielle J. Axelberg, Evan L. Myers, David R. Myers; Brother, James R. Axelberg, Lakeville, IN.

Mr. Axelberg was a native of Indiana and had lived in the area the past 7 years. He was a graduate of Franklin College, Franklin, IN, a US Army Veteran of W.W.II, lifetime member of Elks Lodge, very active with Boy Scout of America/Eagle Scouts, retired owner of a metal fabrication company, and a member of Hebron Baptist Church.

South Bend - Michael R. Andert, 80, of South Bend, passed away on Saturday November 30, 2013, in Signature of South Bend. He was born on March 5, 1933, in South Bend, to the late Herman J. and Margaret (Phillips) Andert. He graduated from Riley High School and attended IU for 1 year. Michael spent two years in the US Army (17 months in Germany). In 1965 he married Margaret L. Graham, who survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Joseph M. (Dawn) Andert of Mishawaka and Kenneth R. Andert of LaPorte; two granddaughters, Brandi (Nate) Sienicki and Katy (Brandon) Kokeny; and four great-grandchildren, Nathan Sienicki, Jordan LaFluer and Hayden and Sam Kokeny. Mr. Andert worked in accounting for Associates, Inc. for 25 years until they moved to Dallas. He also worked for Midwest Commerce Bank in Elkhart, which became Chase Bank. He was a die hard Cub fan for 60 years and loved anything Notre Dame -- especially football and women's basketball. He loved to travel, especially to the Rocky Mountains, and loved the outdoors, particularly working in the yard. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
