Eugene K. Lang, 71, of Irvington Street, South Bend, IN, died at 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, in his residence.

He was born on Nov. 21, 1925, in South Bend, to Roy Lang and Mildred Johnson. He lived here his entire life. Eugene was a retired self-employed automobile salesperson. He was a graduate of Riley High School, class of 1943.

Mr. Lange is survived by a daughter, Denise VanKirk of South Bend; three sons, Bradley, Robert and Dennis, all of South Bend; and an aunt, Eleanor Johnson.

Eugene was a loving grandfather to three grandchildren, Michael and Timothy Lang and Keith Singleton, all of South Bend. He also had two great-grandchildren.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, and may call from noon until the time of services today.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 225 E. Haney St., South Bend. The Rev. Dr. Timothy Hungler is officiating. Burial will take place immediately following at Highland Cemetery.

Mr. Lang was an active member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church's Memorial Fund.
