Darlene (Wingett) Nunemaker

KERRVILLE, TX - Darlene Nunemaker went to be with the Lord at her home in San Antonio on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at the age of 83. She was born in LaPaz, Indiana, on September 7, 1927, to Chester E. and Hazel M. Wingett. She was a resident of the Ingram/Kerrville area for 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Nunemaker Sr.; sister, Judy Wingett-Knapp; and her grandson, Brandon.

Darlene was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star #24, Kerrville, TX, and was a past Worthy Matron of O.E.S. #569 in South Bend, IN.

She is loved and will by missed by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert G. Nunemaker Jr. and wife, Shelley of San Antonio, TX, Bruce A. Nunemaker and wife, Debbie of Ingram, TX; one brother, Roger Wingett of Llano, TX; two sisters, Sandy Hartman of Lakeville, IN, and Debbie Gee of Mishawaka, IN; two grandsons, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2011, in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX, with Rev. Bill Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 12 PM to service time. Interment will be Thursday, January 27, 2011, 10:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio TX. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice, 5430 Fredericksburg Road, Suite 200, San Antonio, TX 78229; or to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 135 Methodist Encampment Road, Kerrville, TX 78028.
