BETTY J. RUDASICS South Bend, Indiana Jan. 17, 1925 Dec. 14, 2007 Betty J. (Lynn) Rudasics, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2007 at Holy Cross Care and Rehabilitation Center. Betty began life on January 17, 1925 in Zanesville, Ohio. She was the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Zinc) Lynn who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were a sister Elizabeth and a brother Russel.

Betty graduated from Riley High School in 1943.

On September 7, 1946 was united in marriage with James E. Rudasics, who survives. Other survivors include daughter Hon. Mary Rudasics Harper (Hon. David Chidester) of Valparaiso; sons, Thomas J. (Debra) Rudasics of St. Helena Island, SC, Randall J. (Kathie) Rudasics, of Steamboat Springs, CO, and Jeffrey E. Rudasics of Granger, IN. Also surviving is grandson, James E. Harper of Washington, DC.

Following high school, Betty was employed in the process engineering department of the Bendix Corporation. She also engaged in voluntary roles with several not-for-profit organizations. Her primary devotion was to her family and she guided them through the journeys of life with wisdom, wit and great love.

Her hobbies included gardening and watching and feeding the birds. For the last two decades she was able to spend winters at her home on the Big Island of Hawaii where she and her husband Jim would avoid the cold Indiana winters and enjoy the beauty, birds and flora of the Aloha State. Her willingness to impart happiness and smiles to her family and friends will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at McGann Hay Funerals/ Cremations/Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23 (enter off Cherry Rd.) where friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday before the service. Officiating will be Rev. Stephen Lacroix, CSC, Decon of Christ the King Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
