Jerry Lee Smith
January 11, 1948 ~ December 26, 2022 74 Years Old
Jerry Lee Smith, 74, of South Bend passed away on Monday December 26, 2022.
Jerry was born on January 11, 1948 to the late Warren and Ella (Wilder) Smith.
On May 5th 1973 he married the former Linda Ann Petersen, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters; Angela (Jason) Hobbs of South Bend, Andrea (Eric Pschigoda) Smith of Portage, Michigan, and April (Kaleb) Neukam of Granger. Jerry has five grandchildren; Kayla and Alyson Hobbs and Isobel, Owen, and Emma Neukam.
Jerry was a 1966 graduate of Riley High School. After graduation he worked at the House of Vision as an optician. Later he was employed by Dr’s Kintner, Shearer, and Rhinehart in Mishawaka; later becoming the Center for Eye Care Excellence. Jerry retired in 2017.
Jerry was a member of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bremen.
Visitation for Jerry will be held from 10am-12pm on Friday December 30, 2022 and funeral services will be held at 12 pm at Palmer Funeral Homes- Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend.
Memorial contributions can be made to Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bremen; 605 S. Center St. Bremen, IN 46506.
