Mr. Garry Glenn Marbley, age 60, who resided on Linden Avenue, South Bend, IN., passed away at 2:05 a.m., on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN.
Garry was born June 29, 1954 in South Bend, IN., to Dessie (Shorter) Marbley, who preceded him in death. He served his country as a Marine and was honorably discharged. He worked as a landscaper for over 15 years for the City of South Bend. He loved bowling, playing cards and dominos, doing yard work and spending time with his family.
Survivors include two daughters, Tonya (Michael Wilson) Marbley of Euless, TX. and Darika Gates of South Bend, IN, one son, Eric (April) Gates of Florida, eleven grandchildren, eight sisters, Dorothy Causey Fisher of Mishawaka, IN, Dorris Marbley, Daisey Smith, Sherry Marbley, Pandorma Simmons, Janice (Ron) Marbley Johnson, all of South Bend, IN, Marsha (Thomas) Long of Indianapolis, IN and Debbie Marbley of San Antonio, TX., four brothers, Larry of Mishawaka, IN, Dennis (Vannessa) Marbley and Todd Marbley both of South Bend, IN. and Mark Marbley of Indianapolis, IN., one special uncle, Robert (Amy) Baker whom he bought his house from along with a host of other uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dessie Marbley along with three nieces, Natalie Motin, Dessie LaVelle Lewis and Kim Staggers.
