PORT HURON TOWNSHIP, MI - Elizabeth Joan "Beth" Ladd, 67, of Port Huron Township, died Friday, November 18, 2016 in McLaren - Port Huron Hospital.

She was born June 16, 1949 in South Bend, Indiana to the late John David and Virginia Downey. She married Al Ladd on April 28, 2012 in Jackson, Michigan.

Elizabeth was an insurance broker, retiring in 2015. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran. She enjoyed shopping, crafts and jewelry making. She participated in Walk to Emmaus and celebrated thirty-eight years of sobriety and seventeen years nicotine free.

She is survived by her husband, Albert; four sons, Daniel (Virginia Hunt) Ladd, Kevin Ladd, and James Ladd all of Port Huron and Matthew Ladd of St. Clair Shores; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, John Heidi Downey of Roanoke, Indiana; five sisters, Charlotte (Bruce) Hollett of Cincinnati, Ohio, Patricia Citron of Skokie, Illinois, Catherine (Fred) Sego of Jackson, Tennessee, Pamela (Neil) Plouher of South Bend, Indiana and Carol (Wade) Fisher, Muncie, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Cooney, in 1986.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Reverend Cyril Page will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Air Force.

Inurnment will be in Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana.
