Charles Chris Kirkwood, 43, died Saturday, May 22, 1993, in San Francisco, CA.
He was born Aug. 16, 1949, in Columbia, Mo. to Charles E. and Bessie L. Goforth Kirkwood of Princeton, N.J.
Mr. Kirkwood attended Kemper Military School in Boonville, Mo. his first year of high school and was the number one cadet in his class. He held a law degree and also a masters degree in library science from Indiana University. He briefly practiced law in South Bend, Ind., before becoming an assistant prosecuting attorney there. He also held a position at the University of Notre Dame Law Library and was head librarian at the Valpariso(Indiana) Law Library. For several years he was a senior editor at West Publishing Company of New York.
He was the grandson of Harold F. and Maryelder Goforth of Richalnd, Mo., longtime editor and publisher of the Richland Mirror and Dr. Robert C. and Laura (Smith) Kirwood of Brays, Mo. He was also the nephew of Mrs Frances Smith and Iassc C. Smith of Brays, Mo. and several uncles where former publishers of Dixon Pilot.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kirkwood is survived by a brother, Ronn Kirkwood of Evanston, IL.; and s sister, Frankee Trombley of Blue Bell, Penn.
