Suzanne Marie “Sue” Draeger

EDWARDSBURG - Suzanne Marie “Sue” Draeger, 69 years old, of Eagle Lake, Edwardsburg, passed to her rest on Feb. 18, 2016, in Niles. She was born April 2, 1946, in South Bend, the daughter of Frank E. and Goldie C. (Karacson) Lanko, and she graduated from grade school at Our Lady of Hungary in South Bend and then in 1964 she graduated from Riley High School, South Bend. She had been an office supervisor for Liberty Mutual Insurance in South Bend and Chicago. She was a ‘stay-at-home Mom' during the growing up years of their son.

She was married Jan. 7, 1983, in Wheaton, Illinois, as Sue Filley to Clinton E. Draeger, who survives with their son, Patrick C. Draeger of Santa Cruz, CA. Also surviving is a brother, Frank J. Lanko of South Bend. There are several in-law relations who survive.

Family and friends may gather Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 24832 US-12 East, Edwardsburg, for a time of visiting with the family. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM, with Father Joe McCormick, pastor of the church, officiating. Her cremains will be laid to rest in the family gravesite at a cemetery in Grand Haven, MI, at a later date.
