Patricia L. "Pat" Edwards Jan. 12, 1936 - April 22, 2015 ELKHART - Patricia L. "Pat" Edwards, 79, of Bristol, Indiana, passed to her rest on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at her home. She was born on January 12, 1936, in Millersburg, to the late Hardin Edward and Geneva (Stabler) Mackey. Pat married Donald R. Edwards on November 28, 1954, in South Bend. Donald passed on April 30, 2012. Surviving are her three daughters, Jennifer (Bill) Albaugh of Elkhart, Betsy Carmean of Bristol and Amy (Doug) Wardlow of Elkhart; six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, an infant daughter, Janey Jolene Edwards, preceded her in death. Pat graduated from South Bend Riley High School, and then attended the Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. She worked as a key punch operator for a time with IBM in South Bend, before becoming a housewife and mother. She was a former member of the Elkhart Moose, Elks Lodge and the DAR. She liked to collect rocks, enjoyed genealogy and was the family historian. Her most special times were spent with her family and spoiling her grandkids. Services celebrating her life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015, with visitation 1 hour prior at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Reverend Jerry Pickrell will officiate. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place with burial at a later date. The family kindly request memorials be given to The Center for Hospice Care or to the Alzheimer's Association . - Family links: Spouse: Donald R.
