FORT MILL -- Mr. John Arthur Barth, 65, passed away on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road with Pastor Gil Kinney officiating.

A native of South Bend, Ind., Mr. Barth was a son of the late Arthur Barth and the late Lillian Amm Kennedy. He retired from Hoechst-Celanese with over 20 years of service. He attended Real Life Assembly in Fort Mill.

Surviving are his wife, Valerie Carroll Barth; his son, John W. Barth and his wife, Kim, of Birmingham, Ala.; his daughter, Shannon S. Kilpatrick of N. Augusta, S.C.; two brothers, Phil and Steve Kennedy, both of South Bend, Ind.; three granddaughters, Brittany Kilpatrick, and Dixon and Camille Barth; and his great-grandson, Tyson Curry. Mr. Barth was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Marie Barth.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
