Mrs. Kathleen Marie Thomas, 74, of Southlake, Texas, formerly of Keller, Fort Worth, Dallas, and Denton, Texas; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Indianapolis, Bloomington, and South Bend, Indiana passed away peacefully at 5:22 am on April 2, 2016. Mrs. Thomas was born in La Porte, Indiana, on January 10, 1942, to Adam Joseph and Jean Alice (Sklodoski) Kuk. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University in 1964. She earned her MBA from Texas Woman's University and worked as a Certified Public Accountant for Mi Escuelita Preschool, Cardiology and Internal Medicine Associates of Dallas, and Fort Worth Independent School District, from which she retired. She leaves behind two daughters, Lisa Casillas (Santos) of Fort Worth, Texas; and Julie (Rob) McGhee, of Grapevine, Texas; four grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Jonathan and David Casillas, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jameson and Jeremiah McGhee of Grapevine, Texas; one brother, John (Joanne) Kuk of Clermont, Florida; one aunt, Lillian Miller of Granger, Indiana; one niece, Alexa Kuk of Clermont, Florida; and several cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, an aunt, Harriet Jagodka, and an uncle, Gustav Sklodoski. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
